Christine Herzog

Clinical Director - MS, LPCC, NCC

Christine Herzog is a LPCC and MN Board of Behavioral Health certified supervisor for clinicians pursuing their LPC and LPCC licensure. Two of her professional goals include continuing to provide professional clinical supervision to others and program development/implementation for mental health services with a focus on equity. Her work has included providing a range of service intensity and modalities including in-home, school-based, day treatment, and center-based outpatient individual and family therapy. Christine has worked with clients in early childhood through adulthood with a variety of mental health needs and with developmental differences. She has implemented an array of treatment approaches including elements of attachment/ relational, multicultural, behavioral, CBT, ABA and family systems. Christine is currently the equity and inclusion chair for the MN Counseling Association.

Abdiaziz Abdi

Clinical Supervisor

Abdiaziz was trained at the Mental Health and Behavioral Health Department of the University of Minnesota. He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the State of Minnesota. He is a compassionate counselor with extensive knowledge in the field of  mental health. Abdiaziz use  evidence-based behavioral techniques and psychosocial interventions. Namely, he uses a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Informed Therapy (TIT), and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) approach with clients during counseling and skill building interventions.  

Abdiaziz works well with adults and children; he has capacities in establishing therapeutic relationships with such a population-specifically those with a minority background.

Ema Eltag

Mental Health Practitioner

Ema Eltag is a University of Minnesota graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Developmental Psychology. She is currently working at K Behavioral Health as a Mental Health Practitioner. Two of her professional career goals are to pursue a Masters Degree in Family and Couples therapy and to start her own business hoping to create positive change on the lives of those around her. Ema has been working in mental health for 3 years and with children for over 5 years, her love for both is quickly evolving and she plans on building her knowledge in psychology while reducing the stigma surrounding the importance of mental health to influence generations that came before and after her.

Chloe Kieser

Mental Health Practitioner

Chloe Kieser is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Student at Capella University. She is currently doing her practicum and internship through K Behavioral Health and is working toward obtaining her LPCC license in Minnesota. Her main professional goal is to obtain this license, as well as eventually train and become a licensed Dance and Movement Therapist. Chloe studied Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota and received her Bachelor of Science in December of 2018. Chloe has worked in the mental health field for over 3 years now, working with a wide range of serious and persistent mental illness clients as well as previously working with individuals with developmental disabilities. So far in her career, Chloe has mainly worked with adults. Chloe looks forward to expanding her knowledge and experience with children and teenagers at K Behavioral Health. Chloe's main theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She also enjoys utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in her practice. Chloe also works full-time at SpringPath Mental Health Services as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner. She works with adults with serious and persistent mental illness diagnoses as well as some substance use disorders in an Intensive Rehabilitation Treatment Services center. Chloe looks forward to working with the clients at K Behavioral Health and earning hours for her fieldwork as she finishes her Master's degree!

Kaylene Zickmund

Mental Health Practitioner

Kaylene Zickmund is a graduate student in the Counseling and Psychological Services program at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, and is working toward obtaining her LPCC licensure. Kaylene has a long history of working with children, and is excited to be working as a clinical trainee intern with K Behavioral Health. Kaylene received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology Pre-Therapy from the University of Northwestern St. Paul in 2016, and has been working with children and families in a variety of settings such as public education, rehabilitation, and private home care since then. Her approach to treatment is client-centered, and she strives to use an attachment and strength-based perspective when treatment planning. She primarily uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with a focus on family systems and parent-child relational approaches. Kaylene believes that having an understanding of attachment and including the family in a child’s therapy journey are vital to the child’s progress.

Samantha Mansfield

Mental Health Practitioner

Samantha is in the process of working towards her LPCC.  She is a compassionate and understanding clinician. She received her undergraduate education from Minnesota State University-Moorhead.  She completed her master’s in counseling and psychological services at St. Mary’s University Minnesota. 

 

Previous work includes a wide variety of levels of care and a variety of services. Her main theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an emphasis on behavioral strategies. With that said, she believes in meeting individuals where they’re at and using integrative approaches to meet the individual needs. She works well with a wide variety of ages and enjoys working with early childhood to early adulthood. She looks forward to her future in the field and learning as much as she can  in the field.
